It’s rare when a week goes by when some classic DJ Quik music doesn’t play. He’s all over our Classic West Coast Music playlist. Even though it’s been a few years since we actually threw some of his new music in rotation, maybe his upcoming album The Midnight Life changes that. The project dropping October 14 will feature this single, “That Getter,” which fits the title of the LP perfect.
