In a surprising turn of events tonight at the 2013 OVO Fest in Toronto, Drake brought more than a handful of friends to the festival. Starting with The Weeknd, a slew of guests from the likes of Wale, Big Sean, J. Cole, Diddy, Ma$e, A$AP Rocky, Miguel all graced the stage and gave the crowd everything they hoped for PLUS WAY MORE.
The most surprising guest of them all was Kanye West, and Yeezus came out to “New Slaves,” then “All Of The Lights” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.” As many know, these two have been throwing subliminals at each other for years now, but it looks like the bad blood is now behind them, reuniting on stage and making history at this year’s event.
The two also had a few words on stage about each other (Kanye said Watch The Throne would not have been possible without Drake’s pressure and Drake said he wouldn’t be rapping if it wasn’t for Kanye). It was bromance to the fullest.
OVO Fest played out like a coronation of Hip Hop’s heir apparent, with even Yeezus himself paying homage. We can’t help but wonder how Pusha T will feel about all this.
