Will Tory respond to the Drake shots before his album releases?
After making a surprise visit to the University of Texas Women’s Basketball Team yesterday afternoon, Drake closed out his trip to Austin, with launching the first night of his Summer Sixteen Tour. Coincidentally, while piloting the event with an opening performance of “Summer Sixteen,” the 6-God switched up a few of his lines on the infamous second verse of the track.
Instead of referencing the New Toronto, which was believed by many to be a direct shot at Tory Lanez, Drizzy made it evident last night in Texas that he was talking about his north of the border peer saying, “All you boys doing fake Controlla wanna be me a little.”
With the success of “One Dance” and “Controlla,” some have even accused Mr. Lanez of using influence from OVO Sound with dance hall-inspired material in recent months like “LUV”.
Whether or not Tory goes back on his word of never dissing Drake remains to be seen over the next couple of weeks – leading up to his major debut album, I Told You.
