Trouble in the 6
SpectiCast has filed a lawsuit against Drake for the delay of their release Drake’s Homecoming: The Lost Footage, a film they’re distributing and supposed to hit theaters.
The documentary dates back to 2009 for a show in which Drake performed at Toronto’s Sound Academy, with interviews from Jas Prince and others, talking about Drake and his rise throughout the film. Drizzy signed a contract back in ’09 that paid him $15,000 and said he would get 15% royalty off any sales the film made if it was ever released.
Everything looked to be on board until this week, when Drake distanced himself from the film, the same week he announced his annual OVO Fest.
The Drake Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans.
