Always Business B, Never Personal. .
Earlier this weekend, Drake joined Joe Budden for a public conversation on the gram, where it was announced he would be joining him on the podcast. Aside from trolling Budden, The Boy revealed that the interview would go down when his album is ready. We broke the story on latest details for the project, soon after; including why he’s waiting until Covid-19 is over to release it.
While the masses thought it just a random visit on the gram, we caught the message loud and clear. Back in 2018, Pusha T went on Budden’s podcast to open up on details regarding the child of Drake; citing that it was OVO 40 that accidentally provided information.
At the time, Push said that he was only going on the JBP to discuss his Daytona album, where he also promoted Yeezy’s G.O.O.D. Music roll-out. The Virginia rapper made it adamant that JBP would be the only platform he would sit-down for an interview, feeling conformable to have an open dialogue.
Last holiday, Drake sat-down with TIDAL, to have his most candid interview ever. With the pending conversation with Joey coming up, we expect him to address everything in an unfiltered setting. So, issues with Pusha T, Ye, why he didn’t release an official response diss track and even the Kendrick Lamar rumors will likely be discussed.
Since Mal, from Roc-a-Fella, is one of his right-hand guys, Drake sent a calculated message to both Push and Kanye, that those were his guys. The same platform they used to almost end his career back in 2018 (closest anybody ever had him).
We’ve never seen Drizzy make a move in entertainment that wasn’t thought through, especially since his album is on the way.
