John Tory’s message to Drizzy
Toronto mayor, John Tory, revealed that he would be honoring Drake with the highest honor his hometown can give him this week and he made it happen. The OVO Sound mogul was presented with the key to the city of the 6, as Mr. Tory handed him the honor and milestone during the NBA All-Star festivities at the Air Canada Centre.
Tory praised Drizzy beforehand saying, “This is a man who could live anywhere, but calls Toronto home. He wants us to be proud of him. And we are. I am.”
As you already know, Drizzy is the unofficial host for All-Star Weekend 2016 in Toronto, which we’re hopeful he premieres new music content – as well as imminent live performances throughout the course of the next few days. Whether or not he decides to give the key to Tunechi or one of his younger boys like we heard in “Summer Sixteen” remains to be seen.
