This past week, Rolling Stone wheeled out their “Fall Album Preview” to the masses. Included, was Drake‘s Nothing Was The Same, which is arguably the most anticipated album for the rest of the year in hip-hop. The album is set to drop on September 17 and though there have been many rumors about featured guests and producers, in this preview, it was confirmed that Jay-Z & Lil Wayne will appear on the album.
“This album is about growth,” says the Toronto MC. “When I play it for people, they ask, ‘Who’s that rapping?’ I’m like, ‘That’s me.'”
It is no surprise that Weezy and Hov will be on the project, but what was definitely a pleasant fact that this preview revealed was that Hudson Mohawke will be on the project as a producer. It will be very interesting to see what kind of sound Hud Mo & Drizzy came up with and how it fits with both of their unique styles. With the album officially less than a month away, be on the lookout for many more details in the coming weeks.
