Who’s telling the truth?
For the last 6 years, the on-air war between Hot 97 and Power 105 has been very entertaining – to the least. From publicly calling each other out, to dirty laundry hitting Page Six of the NY Post, both sides have had their fair share of victories with shade.
If you remember last summer, Ebro called out The Breakfast Club, hinting that their future with iHeartMedia was uncertain, while his staff of teammates Emmis Communications had job security. Well, the long-time face of the station showed up to his show with a few birthday party drinks still in his system and shared a major secret with Charlamagne Tha God reportedly trying to jump ship.
According to Darden, Charlamagne planned to leave Power 105 if he could get his own morning show with Hot 97 and leave behind The Breakfast Club. However, after the company reportedly only offered him a position for Ebro in the Monring, Tha God declined the possibility and opted to stay with iHeartMedia on a contract renewal over the summer.
While we’re waiting for these allegations to be addressed, take a listen to the contract reveal above.
