As a big fan of “Red Light” with Snoop Dogg, Eddie Murphy‘s past few attempts haven’t been received on this side with as much excitement. Well, that is until now. Eddie and reggae go hand-in-hand at this point, but when he’s releasing tracks like this nice Rastafarian number, we can get jiggy with it. The best part is that more will come if people rock with it.
Murphy recently told Rolling Stone that his dream is to do a comedy/concert in one where he plays music to start the show, then tells an hour of jokes. Considering he’s been out of the stand-up game for decades now, it’s in your best interest to like this music. Who knows, maybe we get a tour.
For what it’s worth, this song is really good.
