We can’t even lie. The first time we heard this Eliza Dolittle single, we weren’t mesmerized by it. Maybe we weren’t in the mood to hear super Pop shit from the UK, but we tried because we liked what she did on Disclosure’s “You & Me.” We came back to it now that she officially released it on iTunes and we have to admit, we were asleep.
The video for the single shows how feel-good the Summer track is, showing Eliza and a bunch of her friends having fun outside. They’re all just acting silly, without a care in the world. You gotta love that Super Nintendo shout out too. Word is, the single is quickly rising up the charts out in the UK, so it’s only a matter of time until it hits Stateside.
Eliza’s wrapping up her upcoming album, which should be out later this year.
