With Summer upon us, it seems like everyone is trying to get into shape for those pool parties, days at the lake, or any type of activity where you’ll be wearing minimal clothes. Of course, you always have the folks who keep up all season (fuck those people), but for the rest of humanity who just jumped on the bandwagon to shed a few pounds last week, we welcome you to a grueling process which will take sacrifice and discipline.
Most of the time, self motivation is at an all time low when it comes to this, so to complete the task yourself would take levels of willpower that aren’t seen in humans anymore. You have to get into a rhythm. You have to make it a lifestyle.
We’re not gym rats, but we can definitely tell you the songs you play can make a world of difference between pushing that extra 15 minutes and giving up dead on site, then going home and eating Jack In The Box with a large curly fry. When was the last time you forgot your iPod and had to listen to the shitty music the gym was playing? EXACTLY.
So let us walk you through some of our favorite tracks to mash out to when we’re trying to get into shape (or at least try to). We could probably put on Waka Flocka’s Flockaveli and call it a day, but there are other gems that can get you just as pumped.
