Dr. Dre dominates FORBES 2014 highest-paid musicians list
With 2014 coming to an end in just shy of three weeks, FORBES continues their annual roll-out in showing who was really making moves over the last 12 years. Both Justin Bieber and Beyoncé Knowles had career outings, with their most lucrative year to date; but that wasn’t enough to top the infamous first billionaire in hip-hop headline last spring. Dr. Dre had the single biggest pay day of any musician ever, following Apple’s acquisition of Beats Music earlier this year. This profiting would lead to Dre netting $620 million in 2014, nearly five times as much Queen Bey’s $115 million earning this year, to solidify himself ahead of the pack of entertainers.
