Katy Perry doubles up Taylor Swift to close out the year
Taylor Swift may be the queen of album sales for the last 12 months, but that doesn’t mean she was the top earner woman in music for 2015. As expected, Beyoncé continued her momentum from the 2014 world tour she went on with JAY Z for her self-titled album- as well her deals with Versace, MAC, and her own Fame fragrance. Lady Gag came in at four with $59 million, followed by Fleetwood Mac at $59.5 million, which we’re sure the majority went to Stevie Nicks.
Ms. 1989 was the runner-up at $80 million for the year, highlighted by her previously mentioned album with 3.6 million copies sold and her 1989 World Tour. However, her rival Katy Perry topped all women as the highest earner for the year with a jaw-dropping $135 million. Through deals with Coty, Claire’s and Covergirl, Katy’s 126-date Prismatic World Tour generated the majority of her income, which we’re sure she’s privately boasting about. Take a look at the full list below.
1. Katy Perry – $135 Million
2. Taylor Swift – $51.9 Million
3. Fleetwood Mac – $59.5 Million
4. Lady Gaga – $59 Million
5. Beyoncé – $54.5 Million
