Frank Ocean has reportedly been working on a secret project, according to Italian film director Luca Guadagnino.
In a conversation with The New York Times, the director revealed to Kyle Buchanan that he had collaborated with Ocean on something that was being worked on privately.
“I spoke to Luca Guadagnino about his upcoming HBO show and he told me he’d recently worked with Frank Ocean on a secret project,” Buchanan tweeted on Wednesday (August 19).
The pair never ended up finishing what they started, so Guadagnino is sending out a public request to Ocean to link up once again.
“We were collaborating on a music video that never happened,” Guadagnino said. “I use the Times to launch an appeal to Frank: Frank, let’s do that video. Come on.”
Guadagnino’s new TV series We Are Who We Are premieres September 14 on HBO, starring Kid Cudi in a lead role. The director is best known for his Academy Award-winning movie Call Me by Your Name.
