The term “culture vulture” has officially become mainstream in 2014. . . . .

One of the biggest mysteries in hip-hop (to the public, at least) has been the Death of the Dynasty. At the peak of Roc-A-Fella Records, JAY Z and Dame Dash had a falling out that ultimately became public, causing the situation to worsen during the early 2000’s. In recent weeks, Dame has been taking to social media in his venting on the industry, calling some key names ‘culture vultures’. One name that was mentioned was Flex’s close friend Joie Manda and without knowing the story behind Dame’s comments, the two engaged in an immediate war of words publicly over corporations and the hip-hop culture.

Prior to today, Flex himself had shared his toned down opinion of the rise and fall of Roc-A-Fella records and why Jigga and Dame had a business divorce in 2004 to sell the legendary company for a mere $10 million. Check after the jump to hear Flex in true form, holding nothing back on the owner of Poppington Art Gallery, Damon Dash.

Im just curious why @djfunkflex has so much to say about a person when he’s on a mike on the radio but when I directly addressed him so we could publicly have a face to face conversation and he hasent said a word yet… @djfunkflex I’m calling you and joi out… And lyor his as well… They don’t even have enough respect for the culture to address what Iam saying … You nerds have been making money from rap beef for years which makes our culture look stupid so why not engage in #ceobeef ?… Pause …because all three of you know I will expose your intellect and the whole world will see exactly how smart you lames really are #dontgetscared
