After being named in FORBES 30 Under 30 earlier this week, G Herbo and other associates have been charged in a fraud scheme. An indictment was filed in the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts and the 14 counts and charges included aggravated identity theft, aiding and abetting a larger fraud scheme, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
According to The Chicago Tribune, Herb and others stole identities and cards to charge millions worth of luxury services dating back to 2016.
These luxury services included buying private jets, limo rides, vacations in Jamaica, exotic car rentals and buying designer dogs.
Music promoter Antonio “T-Glo” Strong, rapper Joseph “Joe Rodeo” Williams, Steven Hayes Jr., Terrence Bender, and Demario Sorrells were the others charged.
UPDATE: Machine Entertainment Group released a statement concerning Herbo:
“G Herbo has been charged with several offenses in Massachusetts, however, he maintains his innocence and looks forward to establishing his innocence in court. Herbo has legal representation in Massachusetts via Prince Lobel, whose team has reached out to the US Attorney’s office in Massachusetts to make arrangements for Herbo’s appearance.
G Herbo will appear in Massachusetts whenever he is required either in person or via Zoom.”
