The guitars are out and so is the message, as Gary Clark Jr. returns to the scene with a political visual for “Hold On,” off his album The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim. The clip shows Gary in front of a screen which shows images of the Million Man March, protests in Ferguson, the civil rights movement in the ’60s and Rodney King riots in Los Angeles, to portray the fact that people now that they should love and not hate. The message he’s trying to convey is to learn from each other and grow as a society, that way we can all live in peace.
