With Kodak behind bars for a probation violation it’s unfortunate that he’s not currently seeing the fruits of his labor. He’s has one of the biggest followings on this list and with good reason. He’s 4 mixtapes in and with each mixtape his persona grows. Most people caught wind of the Florida native when Drake uploaded a video via Instagram of him dancing on his private jet to Kodak’s “Skrt Skrt” track. A couple of spins on OVO Sound Radio later, Kodak was on everyones radar. His brushes with the law don’t see to be slowing him down a bit as he’s released his latest mixtape Lil B.I.G. Pac from behind bars to much fanfare. He also was gifted with the third post jail Gucci verse, and the song is tough with Kodak holding his own with the Zone 6 spitter. Kodak may be young but the hardships he’s faced on the streets are put on display through his music, and that’s why so many young people resonate with him. He’s for sure one of the freshman we’ll be looking for for years to come.
