Gillie Da Kid confirms Major Figgas Roc-a-Fella deal before State Property in a rare conversation. Following the departure of Da Ranjahz and Sauce Money, Roc-a-Fella Records were looking to add new blood to their roster. Beanie Sigel was first up, along with Amil soon after, as Jay-Z and Dame Dash had expanded from NYC to Philadelphia.
After signing those two emcees from Philly, Team Roc had plans of inking Major Figgas to a deal. However, with many in the group uncertain about their future, there was serious impatience that led to everyone getting solo deal. In the conversation below, Gillie explained how Major Figgas was suppose to be original group from Philly on the Roc, and cited no one in State Property knew each other before being put together.
