Gregory Porter has been everywhere lately, from releasing his new album Take Me to the Alley to working with Disclosure to touring across Europe (including a stop at Glastonbury). He’s got a voice that goes straight to the soul, so it makes sense for him to take part in NPR Music’s intimate NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert.
“I really enjoy singing that song around the world and really, whenever there’s any trouble in my life,” he said after singing the first track “No Love Dying.” After performing that from 2013’s Liquid Spirit LP, he jumped right into two newer tracks “Take Me to the Alley” and “Don’t Be a Fool.”
