Fans of Netflix show The Get Down will be familiar with Herizen F. Guardiola from her lead role as Mylene Cruz. Now, under the name Herizen, she’s kicking off her music career with her first ever single called “Social Jungle.”
The song comes with a video directed by Geneviève Medow Jenkins, and shows Herizen hanging out with her girls while they’re taking selfies, and having a bad time at a party. When she swaps the fake lifestyle for the outdoors, she finally feels free. “I wrote this song out of love for the moment, and observation of the world of social media,” she wrote on Instagram.
