Detroit rapper and singer Illa J is streaming his self-titled new album, ahead of its release tonight at midnight. The Detroit native, who is a former member of Slum Village and the brother of the late J Dilla, teams up with Vancouver duo Potatohead People to produce 11 pieces of hip-hop soul. Features come from Moka Only, Ivan Ave and A l l i e, with additional production from Kaytranada. The project is Illa’s first solo LP since his debut Yancey Boys dropped in 2008.
