Jamila Woods is one of the most exciting singers and overall voices coming out of Chicago at the moment. She’s displayed her talent alongside the likes of Chance The Rapper, Macklemore and Kweku Collins and as one half of M&O. In the video for her first ever solo song “Blk Girl Soldier,” she celebrates the power and resilience of black women. Randall Tockes directed the video from her new project Heavn, which is due out later this month via Closed Sessions.
