Rap-A-Lot Records has finally taken action

Before Drake signed with Lil Wayne and Birdman in 2009, the Toronto rapper-singer broke ground with help from Rap-A-Lot Records CEO’s James Prince and his son Jas Prince. The son of the legendary Houston entrepreneur has finally ended his social media demands and behind-the-scenes chatter to take Birdman’s Ca$h Money Records to court in an $11 million dollar lawsuit.

According to Jasmine Brand, the lawsuit revealed that the record label was supposed to pay Jas 22 percent of all Drake profits, royalties and advances after landing the 6-God his deal with Aspire Music Group. While CMR has strongly denied the deal, Cortez Bryant (Drizzy and Tunechi’s manager) shifted the Canadian star from A.M.G. directly to Young Money and Ca$h Money Records.

Unfortunately, Jas may not be able to directly sue Birdman since he wasn’t the person that breached contract on ink and due to his relationship with A.M.G. There’s serious loopholes that the Prince faces in the coming months, including a lawsuit of his own with the infamous OVO Homecoming Documentary. We’ll keep you updated on any progression regarding the lawsuits
