JAY Z & Timbaland Win “Big Pimpin” Sample Copyright Lawsuit

99 Problems but this case ain’t one!

It looks as if though JAY Z will no longer have to stress out about a copyright lawsuit involving “Big Pimpin” because judge Christina Snyder has found that nephew of Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdi, Osama Fahmy, did not have the right to pursue a claim that Timbaland illicitly sampled his uncle’s “Khosara Khosara” record for the duo’s smash single.

The verdict was dismissed when moral rights could not be proven when Fahmy signed over all them to Middle Eastern record label Sout El Phan more than a decade ago.

Judge Snyder ultimately decieded that Egyptian law did not apply and Timbo’s license from EMI was valid, so nothing was infringed upon and the case would not go to the jury.

Looks like Timbo and Jigga man can pop some D’usse in celebration now.
