R&B singer / producer Jeremih stopped by FaderTV to discuss how his music career came about. In his early days, he started as a rapper / producer but discovered he had potential with singing which he would take serious after working with a co-producer Mick Schultz. He also touches on being in a musically inclined family as his mom was a singer as well as one of his cousins being in Day 26 but he always felt he was an instrumentalist.
Jeremih went on to say he didn’t have confidence initially behind the booth stating he would write poetry to use on his songs but now he goes into the booth and sings the first thing on his head. In closing, he touches on working with 2 Chainz and Gucci not writing as he used some of their tactics to help his recording style in being more creative for his DJ Drama hosted “Late Nights with Jeremih” mixtape.
It’s been three years since we’ve seen a solo album from Jeremih, but now we’re anticipating the third studio album in 2013 from Mr. “Birthday Sex.”
