Out of all the tracks on Jidenna‘s debut album The Chief, one of the highlights is his anthem “The Let Out.” The singer/rapper recently caught up with Genius to break down the lyrics and meaning of the song, which is the soundtrack to people being let out of the club, church, Grammys, Oscars or whatever the occsion people are coming out from. “I haven’t heard the phrase in a little while, and there ain’t no parking lot pimpin’ song of my generation right now,” he says about writing the track.
