Chances are you know Jimmy Napes from his recent work with Sam Smith, Disclosure and Mary J. Blige, but this week, he releases his debut single as a solo artist. The Grammy-nominated producer branches out from behind the scenes with vocals on “Give It Up,” which just so happens to be produced by one half of Disclosure, Howard Lawrence. The song tells the story of an old friend, taken from his upcoming The Making of Me EP, due out on March 8th.
