RELATED: Joe Budden – SlaughterMouse
It’s about to be the season of the Mood Muzik, at least for Joe Budden, who will be releasing his latest album All Love Lost on October 16. Through some previews, fans got to hear a snippet of a record called “SlaughterMouse,” which was perceived as a diss record but really isn’t. In talking to Rob Markman, Joe explains the the song is actually his “Stan” record for Eminem, airing out his feelings on the whole Slaughterhouse and Shady Records situation. Obviously, there have been some missteps along the way and the crew can’t explain why the expectations were not met, but at the end of the day, Budden can only speak for himself and this is the way he’s choosing to tell it.
Throughout the conversation, he talks about the lyrics within the record and why Em is such an idol to him. From being at his worst point in life listening to “Rock Bottom,” to working with him and being signed to his label; Jumpoff Joey is thankful even if things didn’t work out as planned.
