Joey Purp has been on our Save Money radar before the days of Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa’s solo success. He’s been collaborating with Chicago artists, working as half of Leather Corduroys with KAMI, and more recently, getting back to solo tracks.
Later this year, Purp is set to release his debut solo project iiiDrops. The first single “Cornerstore,” out today, sticks to his hometown roots and features vocals from Saba and theMIND. Production comes from Thelonious Martin with additional work from Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale, J.P Floyd and Knox Fortune.
