Thirteen months ago, Corey “C-Murder” Miller requested Judge Martha Sassone toss out the second-degree murder case, arguing that prosecutors poisoned the grand jury that indicted him in February 2002 by presenting witnesses whose testimony had nothing to do with Thomas’ murder.
At a brief hearing yesterday, the judge refused to dismiss C’s murder indictment and other defense motions seeking to toss out evidence and witness’ indentifications.
Miller is charged with second-degree murder in the Jan. 12, 2002, shooting death of a fan, Steve Thomas, 16, and faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted. He is under house arrest as a condition of his $500,000 bond.
