KAMAU – Hometown Glory (In-Studio Performance)

If this is your first time discovering KAMAU, prepared to be impressed. He did just that when he first dropped “Hometown Glory” and while in-studio performances may have negative stigma thanks to rappers overusing the medium, when the talent is there, it’s a marvel to watch. Considering the song is a cover of Adele, you can only hear his range on the ballad at first. It’s not until the track switches up and seamlessly blends into Three-6-Mafia‘s “Stay Fly” that shit gets real.

Not to mention the musicianship from Anthony Bracewell on the viola, Cale Hawkins on piano, Adam Jackson smashing the drums, and the background vocalists bringing both records to life.

They all killed it.
