Los Angeles city prosecutors have decided to pursue misdemeanor charges against Kanye West, stemming from a July 19 incident. The paparazzi photographer involved in the scuffle, Daniel Ramos, claimed Kanye struck him without being provoked and threw his camera on the ground at Los Angeles International Airport.
West was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery as well as one count of grand theft, both of which can carry a penalty of six months in jail each or $1,000 fine.
