Kanye West Speaks On “Yeezus” At NYC Listening Session

Last night Kanye West took the opportunity to hold a listening session in the loading dock of Milk Studios in the depths of New York. Although it was originally thought to be a private event, it seemed that the general public had the option to hear Yeezus as it was played at large volumes for the lucky people of the city to hear. Before the album began to play in its entirety, West took the opportunity to make a critical speech surrounding the project. He spoke on the collaborative aspect of the work, not caring what the outside world had to say, the release not being about commercial success, while also taking time to thank the likes of Mike Dean, Travi$ Scott, Hudson Mohawke, Rick Rubin and more.

Watch the speech after the jump.
