Has there ever been an artist in the history of music to debut No. 1 on Billboard without any promo (singles/visuals) for a project? Well if not, Kanye West has done history selling over 327,000 in week one heading to GOLD soon for his new album “Yeezus.”
So far, we’ve only seen one public appearance of music from his new album, which he premiered “Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves” on the season finale of SNL in mid-May.
Earlier today, Def Jam Records confirmed to Billboard, Black Skinhead would indeed be the first single; with an official roll-out scheduled for next week around the 4th of July holiday. While we’ve all purchased the album and let it soak into our systems for the last week and a half, we’re thrilled to see the type of creative direction he’s taking for the album starting next week with the set of visuals.
