Kanye West Tops The Charts With “Yeezus”

All the chatter in Hip-Hop this week surrounded how much of a gap Kanye West‘s Yeezus would have over J. Cole’s Born Sinner. Less than 24 hours before their albums even dropped, we were already seeing thirst projections surface on the ‘net. As the week progressed, more figures were being tossed out, and J. Cole was out here looking like the people’s champ. He also proved to be the content king, giving fans a feature on a new Drake track & a peak into his “Dollar & A Dream” tour through various vlogs.

After seven grueling days of wait, it’s looking like Kanye West will valiantly take home the #1 spot with around 328K, a 10% margin over J. Cole (297K) & Mac Miller will move an impressive 100K+ independently (Note: Neilsen Soundscan numbers drop tomorrow).

The margin is going to be pretty slim, so much that Drake could have helped put Cole World over the top if he would have just bought a few more copies.

UPDATE: Official numbers from Billboard are the following:

Kanye West: 327,000
J. Cole: 297,000
Mac Miller: 102,000
