Even when you collaborate with Kendrick Lamar as much as Terrace Martin does (he played a significant role in To Pimp A Butterfly and good kid m.A.A.d city), sometimes your vision and the artists may still be different. Case in point this new remix of “Alright” by the producer. While the original brought hope and aggression together in holy matrimony, the Martin rework of the single brings a sense of calm through jazz.
Terrace’s goal with the remix is to continue spreading good vibes, push the message of love and celebrate change. It’s safe to say that goal was accomplished.
