During Drake’s promo run for his new album “Nothing Was The Same,” interviewers and reporters have constantly asked him what did he think of Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Control.” While that hasn’t been the topic Drizzy wants to discuss, over the weekend at the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, Kendrick added more gasoline to the fire. During the official Top Dawg Entertainment cypher at the show, Kendrick dropped bars that were obviously directed at you know who, saying
“Nothing been the same since they dropped CONTROL and tucked the sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes / HaHa Jokes on you, high five; I’m bullet proof, your shits never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey boy you been a fake.”
Viewers in the audience were even already calling the freestyle rumored verses for a potential Control 2, but we’ll have to wait and see the outcome whether K Dot’s ready to drop another bomb on the game. Check after the jump to watch the brief clip, then look for the full drop on October 15th when the BET Hip Hop Awards airs on BET at 8pm ET/PT.
