Kendrick Lamar inducts NWA!
Friday night, N.W.A. officially entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, becoming the fifth rap group ever to receive an induction. Following the release of their biopic, Straight Outta Compton, the Los Angeles group has been seen more in the public eye over the last year than they have this decade.
The World’s Most Dangerous Group, left their stomping grounds of the west for a trip to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and have their Compton protégé Kendrick Lamar induct them to the hall.
With K. Dot citing the late Eazy E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Ice Cube, and DJ Yella as key instrumental pieces to the TDE movement, he opened up the door for the group members to discuss how they broke down barriers in society – as well as the rest of the world in the forgotten corners of the states.
