Kendrick Lamar Interview With Funkmaster Flex

With the release of the official remix for his new single Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe with Iceberg Slim, Funkmaster Flex caught up with Kendrick Lamar for an exclusive interview discuss his current affairs. Flex immediately discussed the remix asking Kendrick how he prepared for the record which he felt he had to bring his best emcee skills to table to rap on the same track with Jigga.

The streets had to know how the remix was recorded as Jay laid down his verses first which Kendrick jumped in the booth and went on a lyrical onslaught to show his skills to the world. Flex went on to say Jay-Z doesn’t rhyme or roc with a lot of artist now period which Kendrick felt it was an honor to be acknowledged by Jigga on the track doing the best of his abilities on the track to standout.

Flex spoke on Kendrick not going for pop success and and praised dot for just sticking true to his art. Kendrick went on to discuss his recent achievement of MTV’s “Hottest MC’s In The Game list which he felt it was well deserved for the moment; but wants to have longer career last decades for the future. The interview closes out with Flex bringing up Kanye’s recent rant about how Tunechi didn’t make the list which he understands Ye’s passion for the culture.
