The Top Dawg Ent. crew of Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock have been on the road for a better part of the year. Life+Times followed them around for select shows in Meza, AZ and at the San Diego County Fair, as well as taking Ab-Soul and Jay Rock back to Compton and Carson, CA to get their take on the TDE crew.
Jay Rock explained how he knew that K.Dot was destined to shine his light on the world, and how much music is life to him, because it can touch so many people and break barriers. Ab-Soul took the cameras to Del Amo park and gave his background of how he came to be part of TDE, and what he wants to accomplish as part of his legacy.
Last but not least, ScHoolboy Q tells some stories of the early TDE days, and how he joined the crew through engineer Ali, and how he started this to provide for his daughter. With Oxymoron around the corner, he isn’t stressing about money anymore.

JAY Z’s Life+Times spent some time with entire TDE crew- Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock- as they go on the road before hitting the Budweiser Made In America festival stage. Here from the Black Hippy crew themselves on their beginnings, love for their hometown, and their legacies in this game.
