Live from Wireless Fest
We’re hoping our readers out there are still soaking up game from Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly and aren’t just listening to it on the surface level. During his time at Wireless Festival, K Dot talked about this very topic with Peter Rosenberg, explaining the risk in making an album like this and balancing the art with record sales. Up to this point, the record has done well, but he tells Rosenberg that it means a lot to him for people to really sit down and pay attention, as well as putting kids on to the funk that he grew up with.
During the interview, Kendrick also spoke on his favorite song on the album, working with Snoop Dogg on “Institutionalized” and what the future could hold for him.
