TDE on the move
Without prior warning besides one tweet, fans were caught off guard last night when Kendrick Lamar jumped on top of a truck and started performing all the way down Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. Some could see running behind the truck to catch a glimpse of the TDE rapper and his band as he performed select joints off his debut album good kid m.A.A.d city and the newly released To Pimp A Butterfly, including “Money Trees” (below) and “Alright” (above).
The concert was thrown in conjunction with Reebok’s #GetPumped campaign and gave folks in the area a chance to hear Kendrick Lamar for free, fresh off the release of his sophomore effort To Pimp A Butterfly. The album officially hit number one on the Billboard charts yesterday, so this must have served as a thank you to fans for supporting him through his surprise release.
It’s safe to say it was a party down West Hollywood’s famous Sunset Strip.
