After having a stellar run in 2015, things are getting better for Kendrick Lamar. He’s managed to lock down 11 GRAMMY nominations and his new year has kicked off with some big news, especially coming from his hometown of Compton, CA.
CPT mayor Aja Brown announced that K Dot would be receiving the key to the city of Compton and the celebration will go down on February 13. She congratulated him on Twitter with encouraging words and Kendrick was proud to receive the honors. Considering the week this is going down is also GRAMMY week, it’s safe to say it will be a big week for the rapper and Top Dawg Entertainment.
