I am a hip-hop artist at the end of the day, but I have no limitations on my sounds

Kid Ink’s My Own Lane Tour made a stomp through the 305 and local Miami-based author and journalist Peter Bailey held the next episode of his popular NiteCap conversation series. Before the interview began, Peter gave Kid much praise for making hip-hop “fun” again and essentially creating his own lane of diverse music in comparison to his rap peers.

The Los Angeles artist opened up on his upbringing growing up in a single-parent household, while balancing school life and peers around his neighborhood in the streets of So Cal.

While remaining true to himself and staying away from trouble he witnessed others get into, the humbled musician talked choosing music as career profession and wanting to become successful in comparison into chasing fame. Watch more of the conversation with the two discussing one incident on a train with “Corporate America,” that inspired him to grind even harder in music and keeping positive vibes during his performance shows above.
