Killer Mike’s Thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s TPAB Shoutout

Mr. Run The Jewels wants a long career

For those who have been listening to Kendrick Lamar‘s To Pimp A Butterfly album, one of the standout lines from the record is undoubtedly Dot’s shoutout for Killer Mike on “Hood Politics.” The line in question is “Critics wanna mention that they miss when hip-hop was rappin’/muthafucka if you did then Killer Mike would be platinum,” which obviously gives a nod to Mike, while sending shots at critics for saying wanting thing, yet praising and pushing the opposite.

In this interview with MTV, Mike says he’s a big fan of Kendrick and gives a shout to all the members of TDE. He also says he wants to have a Scarface and Bun B-like career, so K Dot’s mention definitely helps him gain more fans and he thanks him for that.
