Last week we put you on to King Lil G and we’re hoping you caught on to the wave. If not, here’s another chance for you to find out about the South Central rapper, who not only reps for his neighborhood but wants to inspire in other ways. Although he may look like he will peel your face off with a machete and has people on payroll that will do it with no questions asked, Lil G also wants the youth to learn from his mistakes. Case in point, “Ignorance,” which finds him rapping to the boys and girls out there about achieving their dreams, going to school and not taking the path he took.
You don’t find this type of positivity in rap as much, so it’s always a breath of fresh air when you hear it. A rapper with a message that kids will relate to? You can’t front on that.
His album is called 90’s Kid, go check that if you get a chance.
