We caught this record on New Music Friday and had to double take because we forgot about Labrinth. The talented singer hasn’t been posted around these parts in a few years. We had no idea what happened to him until we saw “Mount Everest.” Luckily, we’re going to keep up with him a tad more closely after listening to this one, which is a mix of progressive R&B and stunning vocals. It starts out a little weird, but just wait 30 seconds when the beat kicks in.
