Over the weekend, LeBron James, who was on the sideline of the Los Angeles Lakers, had an epiphany. He realized, that he missed Kendrick Lamar music so much, that he needed to jump on Instagram and reveal it to the world. While Top Dawg, Punch and the rest of TDE are yet to detail plans this year, the general feeling is that King Kung Fu Kenny’s return is imminent.
This has been seen in recent studio sessions with both Baby Keem, as well as through The Weeknd. If you remember back in 2016, LeBron had this same sentiment, which prompted the Los Angeles powerhouse to release Kenny’s Untitled Unmastered project soon after.
Now, with the Lakers a favorite to repeat as champions this year, this should be added motivation for TDE to start rolling out confirmed material from Black Hippy, SZA and Isaiah Rashad. Those are set to be in follow-up to Zacari and Reason, who held the TDE flag up during the pandemic thus far.
