We can’t even lie. Leon Bridges‘ debut album Coming Home has been on repeat ever since it dropped. The soul, throwback vibe and overall feel-good tunes found on the record automatically makes it one of our favorites of the year. We can’t get enough of it. One of the standout records on there is “Lisa Sawyer,” which he says is about his grandma and family tree. The live version of the track is just as good, especially when the saxophone breaks it down in the middle.
If you’re still sleeping on the boy, we recommend you wake the fuck up and put yourself on to some good R&B. He’s on the verge of breaking out.
